About the Job:

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Austin, TX, for an Appellate Attorney. The Appellate Attorney will handle legal research, draft appellate briefs, and provide strategic legal advice on appeals. Responsibilities include preparing legal documents, evaluating cases for appeal, analyzing precedents, and presenting oral arguments. The attorney will also collaborate with colleagues and clients to ensure comprehensive case preparation and compliance with legal procedures and standards.

Qualifications:

Strong background in Law, including knowledge of appellate procedures and case law

Experience or expertise in Labor and Employment Law

Ability to provide sound Legal Advice to clients and colleagues

Proficiency in in-depth Research to identify legal precedents and build compelling arguments

Effective Negotiation skills to achieve favorable outcomes

Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in legal writing and oral argumentation

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Active membership and good standing with the State Bar of Texas

Prior experience in appellate advocacy is strongly preferred

Excellent analytical abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to ethical legal practice
