Job Title: Architectural Sales Specialist
Location: Kansas City, KS
Job Type: Remote, Full-Time
About the Job:
We are seeking a Senior Architectural Sales Professional to take ownership of the Kansas City market and drive growth across high-end commercial construction and design projects.
This is a territory-building opportunity for an experienced sales professional with strong Division 10 expertise, established relationships within the architecture and design community, and a proven ability to influence specifications and develop new business.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and develop the Kansas City commercial architectural sales territory.
Build and maintain relationships with leading architecture and design (A&D) firms, contractors, and commercial project stakeholders.
Drive product specifications and influence design decisions rather than simply responding to bids or RFPs.
Develop new accounts, expand existing relationships, and create long-term territory growth.
Identify upcoming commercial projects and establish products early in the design/specification process.
Introduce and successfully establish new product lines within the territory.
Develop and execute territory strategies to increase market penetration and revenue.
Manage the sales process from initial relationship development through specification, project award, and ongoing customer support.
Represent premium architectural products to design-focused commercial markets.
Operate independently while maintaining accountability for territory performance and business development goals.
Qualifications:
Significant experience in architectural sales, commercial building products, or related construction sales.
Deep Division 10 experience is mandatory, particularly with restroom partitions and accessories.
Established relationships with major architecture and design firms in the Kansas City market.
Proven ability to influence architects, designers, specifiers, contractors, and other commercial construction decision-makers.
Demonstrated success developing territories and opening new accounts.
Experience successfully launching or establishing new product lines.
Proven commercial sales performance, ideally with $10M+ in cumulative sales generated from developed business.
Strong understanding of the commercial construction and architectural specification process.
Excellent relationship-building, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
Must be based in or have a strong professional presence within Kansas City.
