About the Job:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager – Data Center to support the successful execution of electrical construction projects within mission-critical data center environments. This role partners closely with the Project Manager and field teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.

The ideal candidate has experience in construction project coordination, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage project documentation, schedules, subcontractors, and client communications in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and managing data center construction projects from preconstruction through project completion.

Coordinate with superintendents, field personnel, subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, and clients to support project execution.

Monitor project schedules, budgets, and construction progress to help ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

Maintain project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, progress reports, and closeout documents.

Support procurement activities by coordinating material orders and subcontractor scopes.

Track project costs, review invoices, monitor equipment rentals, and assist with forecasting and financial reporting.

Participate in project meetings and communicate project updates to internal and external stakeholders.

Identify project risks and assist in implementing corrective action plans when needed.

Ensure compliance with company safety policies, quality standards, and industry regulations.

Provide administrative and operational support to the project management team as assigned.


Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent industry experience.

2–5 years of experience in construction project management, project coordination, or electrical construction.

Knowledge of construction scheduling, budgeting, project administration, and document control.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and construction management software.

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong professional relationships.

Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Willingness to travel as required.

Ability to successfully complete pre-employment background screening and other employment requirements.


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supporting mission-critical or data center construction projects.

Familiarity with electrical construction processes and commercial construction environments.

Knowledge of project controls, procurement, and contract administration.
