Job Title: Associate Attorney
Location: Jefferson City, MO
Employment Type: Full-Time
What You’ll Do:
- Lead Litigation: Manage cases from inception through trial, including drafting complex pleadings, motions, and discovery.
- Courtroom Advocacy: Represent clients in hearings and trials in both Missouri state and federal courts.
- Research & Writing: Conduct deep legal research and draft persuasive appellate briefs and trial memoranda.
- Strategic Planning: Develop case strategies and provide legal recommendations to clients facing high-consequence disputes.
- Drive Trial Strategy: We start preparing for trial on "Day 1." You will be expected to stage mock arguments and cross-examinations to refine strategies for high-stakes cases.
- Independent Caseload Management: You will lead your own docket of 10–20 active litigation matters, moving them aggressively toward resolution or trial.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: 3–5 years of practicing law, ideally with a background in civil litigation or criminal defense.
- Licensure: Must be a member in good standing of the Missouri Bar.
- Skills: Exceptional communication, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to client-centered practice.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency with CaseNet, PACER, and case management systems like Clio Manage is strongly preferred.
