Job Summary:

We are seeking an Associate Attorney with at least 1 year of experience in Family Law or Civil Litigation to join a fully remote New Jersey litigation practice. Family law experience is preferred but not required for candidates with strong civil litigation experience.

This is a substantive litigation position offering significant autonomy, client interaction, courtroom experience, and professional development. The attorney will manage their own caseload, appear in court, argue motions, draft legal documents, and advise clients directly.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle family law and divorce matters, including:

Equitable distribution

Child custody

Child and spousal support

Post-judgment enforcement

Manage assigned cases and maintain an independent docket.

Draft and argue motions, certifications, pleadings, and settlement agreements.

Appear before New Jersey trial and appellate courts.

Provide clients with direct legal advice regarding case strategy and litigation posture.

Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive legal arguments.

Participate in settlement negotiations, hearings, and trial preparation.

Contribute to impact litigation and other substantive legal matters.

Work collaboratively with attorneys and staff while maintaining a high level of independence.

Required Qualifications:

New Jersey Bar admission in good standing.

Minimum 1 year of Family Law or Civil Litigation experience.

Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.

Ability to independently manage a caseload and litigation docket.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Professional maturity and excellent client communication skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment.

J.D. or equivalent law degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience handling divorce and family law matters.

Experience with New Jersey court procedures.

Experience drafting and arguing motions.

Trial, appellate, or courtroom experience.

Strong negotiation and settlement skills.

Ability to work with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with a legal team.
