Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Attorney licensed in Texas to handle legal matters in one or more of the following practice areas: Employment Law, Insurance Defense, Commercial Litigation, or Civil Litigation. The ideal candidate will have strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and litigation skills, with the ability to manage cases independently in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent clients in employment, insurance defense, commercial, or civil litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and develop effective case strategies.
• Manage discovery, depositions, hearings, mediation, and settlement negotiations.
• Evaluate legal risks, liability, and potential case outcomes.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other legal professionals.
• Manage multiple cases while meeting deadlines and court requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active Texas Bar license in good standing.
• 5+ years of relevant legal experience preferred.
• Experience in at least one of the following areas: Employment Law, Insurance Defense, Commercial Litigation, or Civil Litigation.
• Strong legal writing, analytical, communication, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage cases in a remote setting.

Required Writing Sample

Candidates must submit a relevant legal writing sample demonstrating their litigation and legal drafting abilities. For insurance defense positions, defense-side writing samples prepared on behalf of defendants, insurers, or insured clients are required.
