BIM Coordinator – Electrical

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented BIM Coordinator – Electrical to support the design and construction of complex electrical systems. This role involves creating accurate 3D models, coordinating across disciplines, and producing fabrication and installation drawings to ensure smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities

3D Modeling & Coordination

• Develop detailed 3D models using Revit for electrical and low-voltage systems
• Perform clash detection using Navisworks and resolve coordination issues
• Collaborate with mechanical, plumbing, and structural teams for system integration

Fabrication & Installation Support

• Create spool drawings for fabrication and installation
• Generate installation drawings for field teams
• Develop layouts for hanger placement and electrical systems
• Produce detailed drawings for underground, overhead, and in-wall systems

Field & Technology Integration

• Support on-site setup of construction technology (e.g., Trimble)
• Work with 3D scans and point cloud data using Recap Pro
• Ensure models are practical and aligned with field conditions

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and electrical drawings
• Strong understanding of electrical system coordination and design

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with 3D scanning and point cloud processing (Recap Pro)
• AutoCAD Fabrication experience
• Electrical field installation experience
• Knowledge of mechanical systems coordination
