Location: Indianapolis, IN 46204 – Hybrid

Contract: 12+ Months

Pay Rate: $40.75/hour

Job Overview

We are seeking a Business Analyst to support public health data initiatives, data governance, and grant-funded projects for the Indiana Department of Health. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business and technical teams, document requirements, track project deliverables, and support data mapping and data-quality initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and document business and technical requirements.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and project managers.
• Track project deliverables, timelines, risks, and issues.
• Document data mapping, data lineage, metadata, business rules, and data definitions.
• Maintain project documentation, data dictionaries, governance records, and reports.
• Support data-quality initiatives, stakeholder meetings, and requirements workshops.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, Public Health, Analytics, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 2+ years of Business Analyst and/or Project Management experience.
• Experience gathering requirements and documenting business processes or use cases.
• Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in data mapping, data lineage, metadata, data governance, or data quality.
• Experience with grant-funded projects and compliance documentation.
• Healthcare, public health, or health equity experience.
• Familiarity with Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog or Azure DevOps.
