Position: Business Analyst I

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst to support financial and operational activities within construction and capital improvement programs. This role involves analyzing financial data, supporting accounting processes, and assisting in project and system-related initiatives to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Support system integration and implementation initiatives as a subject matter expert

Reconcile financial accounts and reports; identify and resolve discrepancies

Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and analyses

Manage accruals, journal entries, debit/credit memos, and related documentation

Review and process invoices in accordance with accounting procedures

Prepare and review vendor files and supporting documentation for payments

Analyze historical trends and financial data to support decision-making

Create and maintain monthly financial reports

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project and financial activities

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field

3–5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related roles

Experience with business enterprise or accounting systems

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Experience with financial reporting, reconciliation, and data analysis

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Strong communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in construction, capital projects, or public sector programs

Knowledge of invoice processing, cost tracking, and budgeting

Experience with tools such as Costpoint, Proliance, or similar systems

Experience working in fast-paced environments and managing multiple priorities
