About the role


Job Summary:

seeking an experienced Civil Construction Project Manager to oversee civil and site development projects throughout the Middle Tennessee area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing project execution from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with company quality standards.


This role requires strong leadership, communication, and operational management experience within heavy civil construction environments.


Key Responsibilities:

Manage multiple civil construction projects simultaneously, including grading, utilities, excavation, roadway, and site development projects

Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control

Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and clients throughout all project phases

Review plans, specifications, contracts, and project documentation

Track project progress and ensure milestones are achieved on time

Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project reporting

Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company procedures

Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with stakeholders

Monitor labor productivity, equipment utilization, and material procurement

Identify and resolve project risks, delays, and operational challenges proactively

Support estimating and pre-construction efforts as needed


Qualifications:

Minimum 10+ years of experience in civil construction project management

Strong background in heavy civil, site development, roadway, utilities, or infrastructure projects

Proven experience managing budgets, schedules, and field operations

Ability to read and interpret civil construction drawings and specifications

Strong knowledge of construction means and methods

Experience with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred

Preferred Experience

Experience managing projects in the Middle Tennessee market

Knowledge of DOT, municipal, and private development projects

Familiarity with scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
