Location: Agoura Hills, CA (Hybrid Flexibility)

Compensation: $150,000–$185,000 annually + Quarterly Production Bonuses

Position Overview:

An established boutique law firm in Agoura Hills, California, is seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Attorney with at least five years of litigation experience to join its growing litigation department.

The ideal candidate will have experience independently managing civil litigation matters from inception through resolution, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation.

Candidates with backgrounds in real estate litigation, business litigation, construction defect, or insurance defense are encouraged to apply. Prior HOA or community association litigation experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently manage civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Handle discovery, law and motion practice, depositions, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
• Develop litigation strategies and provide practical legal guidance to clients.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery documents, and settlement agreements.
• Represent clients at court hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Work collaboratively with attorneys, shareholders, and dedicated support staff.
• Assist with occasional general counsel matters involving HOA governance, contracts, and related legal issues.

Qualifications:

• Active California State Bar membership in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years of civil litigation experience.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage litigation matters and case deadlines.
• Strong experience with discovery, motion practice, and depositions.
• Excellent legal research, writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Strong communication, organizational, and client-service abilities.
• Experience in real estate, business litigation, construction defect, insurance defense, or HOA litigation is preferred but not required.
• Trial experience is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base salary of $150,000–$185,000, depending on experience.
• Additional quarterly production bonuses.
• $5,000 signing bonus, payable after 90 days of employment.

Work Arrangement:

This is a primarily in-office position based in Agoura Hills, California. Hybrid flexibility of one to two remote days per week may be available depending on commuting distance, individual circumstances, and business needs.
