About the Job:

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Estimator to join a growing construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial, residential, and multifamily construction projects. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to deliver profitable project bids.


Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed cost estimates for drywall, metal stud framing, acoustical ceiling tile (ACT), and related construction projects by reviewing plans, specifications, and project requirements.

Develop accurate bids and proposals using estimating software such as PlanSwift.

Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents to ensure complete and accurate project scope.

Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and material quotations.

Review contracts, scope of work, and technical documentation to identify risks and ensure accurate project costing.

Monitor project costs throughout the bidding process and identify value engineering and cost-saving opportunities.

Assist with project scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning to support successful project execution.

Provide pricing analysis and cost information during contract negotiations.

Maintain organized estimating records and documentation for future reference.

Stay current with industry trends, material costs, and market conditions affecting project pricing.


Required Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Construction Estimator on commercial construction projects.

Strong knowledge of drywall, metal stud framing, ACT, and commercial construction practices.

Experience using PlanSwift or similar construction estimating software.

Solid understanding of construction contracts, project management, and cost control principles.

Strong negotiation skills with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.

Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines.

Construction field experience is highly preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
