About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Plumbing Estimating Manager to oversee estimating operations for commercial plumbing service, repair, replacement, and small project work. This position plays a key role in cost analysis, proposal development, operational coordination, and supporting long-term business growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Review service opportunities, drawings, specifications, and project scope requirements
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial plumbing service and project work
• Develop labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and permit cost projections
• Ensure estimates align with company profitability goals and pricing standards
• Coordinate with service managers, field supervisors, technicians, vendors, and customers
• Maintain estimating databases, labor units, pricing structures, and estimating systems
• Review and approve final proposals before submission
• Monitor bid success rates, estimating performance metrics, and departmental productivity
• Support contract negotiations and project turnover meetings
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, facility managers, and vendors
• Identify process improvement opportunities and operational efficiencies
• Support strategic growth initiatives for the commercial service division

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in commercial plumbing estimating and service operations
• Strong leadership and team management experience within estimating environments
• Extensive knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, codes, materials, and service procedures
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation
• Experience estimating service repairs, retrofits, tenant improvements, and small construction projects
• Strong understanding of labor productivity, scheduling, and job costing
• Proficiency with estimating software, Microsoft Office, and service management platforms
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines in fast-paced environments
