Position: Community Director – Cantera Oaks
Location: Morgan Hill, CA
Employment: Full-time, In-person
Experience: 3+ years residential property management; 2+ years property management leadership
About the Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the pre-opening and lease-up of Cantera Oaks, a brand-new 259-home luxury apartment and townhome community scheduled to open in March 2027.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the pre-opening and lease-up strategy for the 259-home community
- Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop the on-site team
- Establish operating procedures, service standards, and team culture
- Drive leasing, sales, marketing, traffic, applications, and occupancy performance
- Monitor pricing, availability, conversions, and competitive market activity
- Coordinate with construction, vendors, ownership, and corporate teams
- Oversee model homes, leasing office, amenities, signage, and property presentation
- Manage resident relations, renewals, retention, and community engagement
- Oversee day-to-day operations, budgets, financial reporting, and collections
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing, ADA, and applicable housing regulations
- Maintain strong curb appeal, apartment readiness, vendor performance, and operational standards
Ideal Qualifications
- 3+ years of residential property management experience
- 2+ years of property management leadership experience
- Previous Community Director, Property Manager, or equivalent leadership experience
- New construction and lease-up experience strongly preferred
- Multifamily or luxury residential experience preferred
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate teams
- Strong sales, marketing, customer service, and communication skills
- Ability to analyze financial and operational reports
- Working knowledge of Fair Housing, ADA, and applicable housing laws
- Experience with Yardi Voyager or comparable property management software
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred
- Valid driver's license required
