Construction Project Manager

The position is ideal for someone with strong experience managing heavy road, highway, or multi-use trail construction projects. You would work closely under the supervision of a Georgia-registered Professional Engineer (PE).

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management – required
• 5+ years of experience managing road infrastructure projects
• Experience with MS Project and Bluebeam/AutoCAD
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• EIT certification/exam completion is a plus
• Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and oversee construction operations from start to completion
• Develop and maintain project schedules and monitor progress
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, materials, and site activities
• Conduct site visits and monitor quality, progress, and compliance
• Prepare submittals, RFIs, subcontractor agreements, pay applications, and invoices
• Review subcontractor and supplier invoices
• Assist with estimating, bid takeoffs, unit pricing, and cost analysis
• Research public bid opportunities and identify suitable projects
• Prepare bid packages, estimate summaries, and required bid documents
• Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers
• Maintain current construction material pricing information
• Attend bid openings and review post-bid information for accuracy
• Monitor project budgets and ensure work stays on schedule
