About the Job:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee adaptive reuse and multifamily renovation projects from project mobilization through final closeout. The ideal candidate will have extensive field leadership experience managing complex renovation projects, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, ensuring quality, and enforcing safety standards while delivering projects on time and within budget.


Key Responsibilities:

Lead day-to-day field operations for adaptive reuse and multifamily renovation projects from mobilization through project closeout.

Supervise subcontractors, suppliers, field personnel, and daily construction activities.

Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules to ensure milestones are achieved.

Coordinate trade sequencing and manage site logistics to maximize productivity.

Enforce OSHA safety standards through site inspections, safety meetings, and compliance monitoring.

Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure accurate execution.

Collaborate with the Project Manager on RFIs, submittals, change orders, and field issues.

Maintain quality control throughout all phases of construction.

Coordinate inspections, permitting requirements, and regulatory compliance.

Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, architects, engineers, inspectors, and project stakeholders.

Prepare daily reports, track project progress, and oversee punch list completion.

Resolve field challenges efficiently while minimizing project delays.


Required Qualifications:

Minimum 10 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent managing commercial, adaptive reuse, or multifamily renovation projects.

Strong knowledge of building codes, permitting processes, inspections, and construction best practices.

Proven experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and managing complex construction schedules.

Experience with urban construction logistics and occupied renovation projects.

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Microsoft Project, and Bluebeam.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.


Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

Experience with historic preservation or landmark renovation projects.

LEED Accreditation or familiarity with sustainable construction practices.

Experience delivering adaptive reuse and multifamily renovation projects from start to finish.
