About the job:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor (Senior Site Superintendent / Project Manager) to lead and oversee complex residential construction projects throughout the Boston area. This is a senior-level, field-focused leadership position responsible for managing projects from pre-construction through final closeout while ensuring quality, safety, schedule, and budget objectives are achieved.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing ground-up multifamily developments, historic renovations, and urban residential construction projects. This role requires a highly organized, accountable professional who can independently oversee multiple active projects while coordinating with subcontractors, inspectors, consultants, and ownership teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead daily field operations for multiple active construction projects.

Manage all phases of construction from project startup through closeout.

Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.

Develop and maintain project schedules and monitor progress against milestones.

Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.

Oversee project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, punch lists, and closeout packages.

Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, and municipal agencies.

Identify and resolve construction challenges while maintaining project timelines and budgets.

Ensure effective communication between field and office teams.

Maintain high standards for workmanship, safety, and client satisfaction.

Required Qualifications:

15+ years of construction field leadership experience.

10+ years of experience managing construction projects within the Boston metropolitan area.

Strong background in:

Ground-up multifamily residential construction.

Small to mid-sized urban multifamily developments.

Historic brownstone renovations.

Full-gut residential renovation projects.

Proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects.

Extensive knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, scheduling, and quality control.

Strong understanding of local building codes, permitting, and inspection processes.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Technical Skills:

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.

Equivalent combination of education and extensive field experience will be considered.

Demonstrated success managing residential construction projects from inception through completion.
