Position Overview:

A well-established mid-sized law firm is seeking an experienced Corporate Transactions Attorney to join its Business Services Practice Group. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with a strong background in corporate and commercial transactions who is looking to advance their career within a collaborative and professional environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with clients on a broad range of business matters, including corporate transactions, commercial agreements, mergers and acquisitions, and financing transactions. Candidates with private fund experience are encouraged to apply.


Key Responsibilities:

Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial and corporate agreements.

Advise clients on business transactions and corporate governance matters.

Handle mergers and acquisitions, financing transactions, and other strategic business initiatives.

Conduct legal due diligence and assist with transaction structuring.

Collaborate with internal teams and clients to provide practical legal solutions.

Manage multiple matters while maintaining high standards of client service.

Support business development and foster strong client relationships.


Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate and commercial transactional law.

Experience with mergers and acquisitions (M&A), commercial contracts, and financing transactions.

Private fund experience is a plus.

Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Sound judgment and attention to detail.

Demonstrated commitment to exceptional client service.

Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with clients and colleagues.

Education & Licensing

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Active Connecticut Bar admission in good standing or ability to obtain admission promptly.
