We are seeking an experienced Director of Retail Operations / General Manager to lead and scale a high-volume retail operation specializing in appliances, furniture, home improvement products, doors, vanities, and related merchandise.

This leadership role is ideal for a hands-on retail operator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven track record of building operational structure, driving accountability, improving performance, and supporting business growth. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of store operations while helping develop scalable systems to support future expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

Retail Operations Leadership:

Direct and oversee day-to-day store and warehouse operations.

Ensure operational excellence across all departments.

Establish and maintain performance standards and accountability measures.

Manage employee scheduling, productivity, and team performance.

Foster a culture of ownership, customer service, and continuous improvement.

Sales & Revenue Growth:

Partner with sales leadership to drive store performance and revenue growth.

Improve merchandising, product presentation, and customer experience.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies to maximize profitability.

Support commission-based sales teams through coaching and operational alignment.

Inventory Management:

Oversee inventory flow from receiving to pricing and sales floor placement.

Ensure products are accurately processed and readily available for sale.

Improve inventory controls, warehouse organization, and operational efficiency.

Minimize inventory shrinkage and optimize stock management processes.

Warehouse, Delivery & Logistics:

Manage warehouse operations and workflow.

Oversee delivery scheduling and execution to ensure exceptional customer service.

Identify opportunities to improve logistics efficiency and operational profitability.

Ensure safe handling, storage, and transportation of merchandise.

Process Development & Business Expansion

Design and implement scalable operational systems and procedures.

Collaborate with executive leadership on growth initiatives and expansion plans.

Develop best practices that can be replicated across multiple locations.

Support regional warehouse and distribution strategies.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3+ years of retail leadership experience.

Experience managing high-volume retail operations.

Proven success leading and developing teams in fast-paced environments.

Strong operational management and problem-solving skills.

Experience implementing systems, processes, and performance metrics.

Preferred Experience:

Furniture retail operations.
