Position Overview:

We are seeking a Divorce & Family Law Associate Attorney with 3–5 years of dedicated family law experience to join a dynamic legal team in Boston. The ideal candidate will have strong courtroom experience, excellent written advocacy skills, and the ability to independently manage a family law caseload while collaborating with senior attorneys on complex matters.

This position offers an opportunity to handle substantive family law matters, expand courtroom experience, and work closely with experienced attorneys in a collaborative environment.


Key Responsibilities:

Represent clients in Probate and Family Court proceedings, including:

Motions

Trials

Pre-trial conferences

Emergency hearings

Conciliations

Arbitrations

Manage an independent caseload involving complex domestic relations matters.

Handle matters involving child custody, spousal support, asset division, and other family law issues.

Draft and review:

Pleadings

Motions

Financial statements

Separation agreements

Discovery

Other legal documents

Conduct extensive legal research using Lexis and other legal research resources.

Manage discovery and conduct depositions.

Develop case strategies and provide clear, practical legal advice to clients.

Communicate with clients with professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail.

Collaborate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure effective case management.

Manage multiple matters effectively in a busy, high-volume legal environment.


Required Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Active Massachusetts Bar license in good standing.

3–5 years of dedicated family law experience.

Substantive experience handling divorce and family law matters.

Meaningful courtroom and litigation experience.

Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.

Ability to independently manage a caseload.

Strong knowledge of Massachusetts family law and Probate and Family Court procedures.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and legal support staff.


Work Arrangement:

This is a hybrid position based in Boston, MA, and candidates must be able to work from the Boston office in accordance with the firm's hybrid work policy.
