About the Job:

We are seeking a motivated Earthwork & Site Development Estimator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for earthwork and site development projects. This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to interpret construction plans, and experience working with estimating software to develop detailed project bids.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for earthwork and site development projects.

Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure accurate pricing.

Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.

Develop comprehensive project budgets and competitive bid proposals.

Analyze project scope and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.

Resolve cost discrepancies by gathering and analyzing project information.

Maintain current knowledge of market pricing, labor, equipment, and material costs.

Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field personnel throughout the estimating process.

Ensure estimates are completed accurately and submitted within required deadlines.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.

1–3 years of construction estimating experience, preferably in earthwork or site development.

Strong understanding of construction estimating principles and cost analysis.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical specifications.

Experience with AutoCAD.

Experience with HCSS estimating software is highly preferred.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple estimates and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience estimating civil construction, grading, excavation, utilities, or site development projects.

Knowledge of local construction methods, materials, and subcontractor pricing.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
