Job Title: Elder Abuse Litigation Paralegal
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys handling elder abuse and personal injury matters from intake through trial. This role is ideal for a highly organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment and is passionate about supporting meaningful, high-impact casework.
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with elder abuse litigation from intake through trial
- Draft and review:
- Pleadings
- Discovery
- Subpoenas
- Correspondence
- Demand letters
- Prepare and organize exhibit binders, trial materials, and mediation briefs
- Communicate with clients to gather updates, records, and case-related information
- Summarize:
- Medical records
- Discovery responses
- Deposition transcripts
- Facility records
- Coordinate experts, medical providers, and third-party vendors
- Assist with trial preparation, including:
- Witness lists
- Trial subpoenas
- Exhibit management
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of litigation paralegal experience
- Experience in elder abuse, medical negligence, or personal injury strongly preferred
- Strong calendaring experience required
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in:
- Microsoft Word
- Excel
- Outlook
- Court e-filing platforms
- Professional demeanor and strong reliability
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Bilingual in Spanish is a strong plus
