Location: Canton, OH

Job Type: Full-Time

Work Arrangement: On-Site

Position Overview

We are seeking an Electrical Designer to develop and revise electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials for medium-voltage electrical equipment and power distribution systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with electrical drafting/design, AutoCAD, and medium-voltage applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop electrical drawings, schematics, connection diagrams, and wiring diagrams based on customer specifications and industry standards.
  • Prepare and maintain electrical Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Release approved drawings and BOMs to the production team.
  • Revise drawing packages based on customer comments and resubmit them for approval.
  • Provide technical support to production during equipment assembly and wiring.
  • Enter and maintain project and manufacturing data in the company database.
  • Ensure electrical designs meet the requirements of existing equipment and applicable standards.
  • Maintain organized, clean, and safe work practices.
  • Follow company goals, objectives, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Associate degree in Electrical Technology preferred.
  • Candidates with a minimum of 2 years of medium-voltage electrical experience may also be considered.

Experience

  • Experience with medium-voltage electrical design, particularly systems from 5 kV to 38 kV.
  • Minimum 1 year of electrical drafting experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of AutoCAD experience.
  • Experience with power distribution design preferred.
  • Experience designing electrical enclosures/cabinets preferred.

Technical Knowledge

Knowledge of or experience with:

  • National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Utility Electric Service Requirements (ESR)
  • ANSI standards
  • UL standards
  • California Title 24
  • State seal/design approval processes
  • Electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Medium-voltage power distribution systems

Additional Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to interpret customer specifications and technical requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively with engineering, production, and other internal teams.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25%, if required.

Work Environment

  • Full-time, on-site position in Canton, Ohio.
  • Opportunity to work closely with engineering and production teams on electrical design and manufacturing projects.
  • Overtime may be required based on project and production needs.
