About the job:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Electrical Estimator / Project Manager to join our growing team. This role is responsible for leading electrical estimating efforts, managing project budgets, coordinating project execution, and ensuring successful delivery of commercial electrical construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in electrical estimating, project management, cost control, scheduling, and vendor coordination.


Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for commercial electrical construction projects.

Review project plans, specifications, drawings, and bid documents to identify project requirements, risks, and opportunities.

Collaborate with project stakeholders, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather information necessary for accurate estimating and project planning.

Manage multiple projects simultaneously from pre-construction through project completion.

Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures.

Source materials and negotiate pricing with vendors and suppliers to ensure competitive project costs.

Create and manage project schedules, timelines, and resource allocation plans.

Conduct site visits and assessments to support estimating accuracy and project execution.

Participate in pre-construction meetings and provide cost-related recommendations and feasibility analysis.

Monitor project progress, resolve issues proactively, and ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.

Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and project teams.

Prepare and present project reports, estimates, change orders, and cost analyses.


Required Qualifications:

Proven experience in commercial electrical estimating.

Strong background in project management within the electrical construction industry.

Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and cost control initiatives.

Ability to interpret electrical plans, specifications, and construction documents.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Proficiency with electrical estimating and project management software.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with commercial construction site operations and industry best practices.

Must reside in Minnesota or Iowa.


Preferred Qualifications:

Master Electrician License preferred.

Advanced experience in commercial electrical construction and project leadership.

Strong supplier and subcontractor relationship management experience.
