Job Description:
Seeking an experienced Electro-Optical Systems Engineer to support the development, integration, and optimization of advanced optical and electro-optical systems. This role involves system design, troubleshooting, technical support, and collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure high-performance system functionality across complex applications, including aerospace and defense-related environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and integrate optical and electro-optical systems and components
- Perform systems engineering activities including system architecture, analysis, testing, and validation
- Troubleshoot complex hardware and system-level issues to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Provide technical support for optical instrumentation and integrated engineering systems
- Support system administration, configuration management, and system performance optimization
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams on product development and system improvements
- Assist with system documentation, reporting, and technical presentations
- Ensure compliance with quality, reliability, and performance standards
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Optical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
- Minimum 3 years of industry experience in electro-optical systems, optical engineering, or related technologies
- Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles and system integration
- Experience troubleshooting complex electro-optical or instrumentation systems
- Hands-on experience with technical support and engineering problem resolution
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience supporting aerospace, military, or defense-related applications is preferred
- Knowledge of optical measurement equipment, instrumentation, hyperspectral/multispectral imaging, or reflectance systems is a plus
