About the Job:

We are seeking an experienced Environmental and Natural Resources Attorney with 6-8 years of environmental law experience to join a growing legal team. This role offers the opportunity to handle complex environmental litigation, regulatory compliance matters, and water law issues while working collaboratively with experienced attorneys on high-profile cases.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental litigation, regulatory compliance, legal research, and motion practice, with the ability to independently manage matters from inception through resolution. This position also provides opportunities to mentor junior attorneys and contribute to the continued growth of a statewide environmental practice.


Key Responsibilities:

Handle environmental, water, and natural resources litigation matters.

Advise clients on environmental compliance and regulatory issues.

Manage all phases of litigation, including:

Case strategy and management

Legal research and writing

Drafting pleadings and motions

Discovery

Depositions

Hearings

Arbitrations

Trial preparation and trial support

Counsel clients on federal, state, and local environmental regulations.

Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice areas.

Mentor junior associates and support business development initiatives.

Maintain strong client relationships while delivering practical legal solutions.


Required Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Active California Bar membership.

6-8 years of environmental and natural resources law experience.

Strong environmental litigation experience.

Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.

Experience handling matters independently through all stages of litigation.

Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
