About the Job:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Estimator / Sales Estimator to join a growing residential construction team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate project estimates, coordinating material pricing, managing budgets, and communicating with clients throughout the construction process. The ideal candidate has residential construction estimating experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate cost estimates for residential new construction projects.

Estimate material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.

Communicate with clients regarding project pricing, upgrades, selections, and schedule updates.

Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and verify material availability.

Track project budgets, change orders, and cost adjustments throughout the construction process.

Collaborate with project managers, builders, and internal teams to ensure projects remain on budget and on schedule.

Maintain organized documentation for estimates, contracts, project selections, and related records.

Assist with procurement planning, material scheduling, and project coordination.

Review construction plans and specifications to develop complete and accurate estimates.

Support continuous improvement of estimating processes and cost control initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

Experience in construction estimating, residential construction, or a related field.

Strong knowledge of residential building materials, construction methods, and estimating practices.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, estimating software, and standard office applications.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Professional, dependable, and self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience estimating custom homes or residential new construction projects.

Familiarity with subcontractor bidding, vendor management, and change order processes.

Experience coordinating project materials and construction schedules.
