About the Job:

An established California-based family law practice is seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to join its Riverside office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law and thrive in a fast-paced legal environment, managing cases independently while delivering exceptional client service.


Key Responsibilities:

Manage a full caseload of family law matters from inception through resolution.

Represent clients in divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, property division, domestic violence, and other family law proceedings.

Draft, review, and negotiate pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, declarations, and other legal documents.

Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda, charts, and case analyses.

Advise clients on legal strategy, case developments, and available legal options.

Handle discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests and managing document production.

Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation and settlement conferences.

Appear in court for hearings, case management conferences, and trials.

Maintain case calendars, monitor deadlines, and ensure timely filings.

Collaborate with and supervise paralegals and legal support staff.

Organize and maintain case files, evidence, and legal documentation.

Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other stakeholders.

Analyze complex legal issues and develop practical, client-focused solutions.

Ensure compliance with California family law procedures and ethical standards.


Required Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Active membership in the California State Bar.

Minimum 5+ years of experience practicing Family Law.

Strong courtroom advocacy and litigation experience.

Experience handling all phases of family law litigation, including discovery, negotiations, and trial preparation.

Excellent legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.

Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency with legal research tools and case management software.


Preferred Skills:

Experience negotiating and resolving complex family law disputes.

Strong client relationship and case management skills.

Leadership experience supervising legal support staff.

Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality legal work.

Professional, collaborative, and client-focused approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
