About the Job:
We are seeking an experienced Fabrication Supervisor to oversee daily fabrication and anodizing operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for supervising production, leading fabrication teams, ensuring quality standards, maintaining equipment, improving processes, and driving operational efficiency through Lean Manufacturing principles. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, hands-on experience with aluminum fabrication and anodizing, and the ability to manage production schedules while maintaining a safe and productive workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise daily fabrication and anodizing operations to meet production goals.
Plan and coordinate workforce schedules to maximize productivity.
Monitor production processes and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Troubleshoot fabrication and anodizing equipment and provide technical support.
Collaborate with maintenance teams to improve preventive maintenance programs.
Conduct safety audits and enforce workplace safety procedures.
Develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Maintain accurate production logs and inventory of consumables, tooling, chemicals, and PPE.
Investigate quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Train, mentor, and develop production team members.
Coordinate with cross-functional departments to ensure smooth production flow.
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and external vendors.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles.
Prepare incident reports and support departmental compliance requirements.
Lead department tours for visitors when required.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 3+ years of supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment.
Minimum 3+ years of experience working with aluminum fabrication.
Minimum 3+ years of experience with anodizing processes.
Strong knowledge of fabrication equipment, anodizing systems, and material handling.
Experience with production planning and scheduling.
Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
Experience developing, reviewing, and implementing SOPs.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Background in Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field.
Forklift certification (sit-down and stand-up) or willingness to obtain certification.
Experience with preventive maintenance programs.
Knowledge of quality control and continuous improvement processes.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
Strong manual dexterity and ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
