About the Job:
We are seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to join a growing legal practice in Raleigh, NC. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with an established book of business who is looking to expand their practice while leveraging strong operational, marketing, and administrative support. The ideal candidate will have extensive courtroom experience, the ability to independently manage a full caseload, and a strong commitment to client advocacy.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a full caseload of family law matters from intake through final resolution.
Handle cases involving:
Divorce
Child Custody
Child Support
Equitable Distribution
Alimony
Domestic Violence & Protective Orders
Represent clients in court hearings, trials, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
Provide strategic legal advice and exceptional client service throughout the legal process.
Maintain and grow an existing book of business through referrals and client relationships.
Develop new business opportunities and expand professional networks within the local market.
Draft, review, and file legal pleadings, motions, agreements, and other legal documents.
Conduct legal research and prepare case strategies.
Negotiate favorable settlements while protecting clients' interests.
Manage cases independently with minimal supervision.
Collaborate with attorneys and staff to support continued practice growth.
Required Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Active North Carolina Bar license in good standing.
Minimum 5+ years of Family Law experience.
Existing book of business is required.
Strong litigation and courtroom experience.
Experience handling contested family law matters.
Ability to independently manage multiple cases simultaneously.
Excellent legal writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
Strong interpersonal and client relationship management abilities.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on business development.

5+ years of Family Law practice.
Proven experience handling cases from intake through trial or settlement.

Experience appearing in North Carolina family courts.
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
License:
Active North Carolina Bar License (Required).
Work Environment:
Full-Time position.
Independent case management with administrative and operational support.
