About the job:
A growing law practice is seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to join its legal team. This position offers flexibility for either full-time or part-time employment and is ideal for an attorney with a strong background in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, and support proceedings. The role provides a hybrid work arrangement, allowing remote work while requiring in-person attendance for client meetings, court appearances, and other necessary legal proceedings.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload involving family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, and related domestic relations issues.
Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, negotiations, and settlement conferences.
Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, agreements, and other legal documents.
Conduct legal research and provide strategic legal advice to clients.
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other stakeholders.
Develop case strategies and ensure timely progression of matters through the legal process.
Maintain accurate case files and documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Advocate for clients while working toward favorable resolutions through negotiation or litigation.
Required Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in Pennsylvania and good standing with the state bar.
Proven experience handling family law matters, including custody, divorce, and support cases.
Strong litigation, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills.
Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
Strong interpersonal and client relationship management skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience representing clients in complex family law disputes.
Mediation or alternative dispute resolution experience.
Familiarity with Pennsylvania family law procedures and court systems.
