Job Overview

We are seeking a Family Law Attorney to guide clients through sensitive legal matters with sound judgment, clear communication, and effective advocacy. You will manage family law cases from initial consultation through negotiation, court proceedings, and resolution. Your impact: By providing practical counsel and prepared representation, you help clients understand their options and navigate important family decisions.

Duties

• Advise clients on family law matters, explain applicable procedural law, and maintain clear, timely client communication.
• Conduct legal research, including statutory legal research using LexisNexis or Westlaw, and prepare legal writing, motions, and other filings.
• Draft and review agreements and related documents; develop case strategies and manage files through legal case management processes.
• Lead negotiation, prepare for trial, conduct court depositions, and provide legal advocacy in litigation.
• Coordinate legal administrative work and collaborate on matters involving other practice areas when needed.

Skills

• Essential: Admission to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction, family law knowledge, law office experience, legal counsel skills, and strong legal research, writing, drafting, and client communication abilities.
• Essential: Litigation experience, procedural law knowledge, legal motion preparation, trial preparation, negotiation, and case management.
• Preferred: Experience with estate planning, environmental, immigration, landlord-tenant, securities, workers’ compensation, tribal, patent, employment, or personal injury law, including employment law cases and personal injury cases.
• Familiarity with general and commercial litigation, personal injury law, contract drafting, and legal administrative experience is valued
