Feed Truck Driver - Romulus, NY

Job Description

We are currently seeking a person to fill the position of Feed Truck Driver, estimated 50-60 hrs per week with Overtime Pay on hours over 40.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Transport bagged feed/ingredients as directed.
• Confirm delivery meets farm protocol requirements.
• Record load data on truck log.
• Ensure truck is safe to operate; request maintenance as necessary.
• Must be capable of regular and punctual work schedule.
• Able to work overtime as needed.
• Able to work flexible hours as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required skills:

• Must have valid CDL class A or class B
• Must have a good driving record
• Must be able to meet DOT requirements.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience of truck driving.
• Desire to have at least 1 year agricultural work experience.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures- cold and hot and in inclement weather conditions.
• Must be able to climb equipment ladders, bins, etc.
• Must be able to lift more than 80 lbs.
• Must be able to bend repeatedly.
• Working scheduled hours which may include long shifts. Mon-Fri 7am - 5pm+
• Ability to work well with mill personnel, drivers and management in a team environment.
• Exemplary attention to detail skills, does not mind multi-tasking, has a strong work ethic, and displays problem solving skills are key assets.
