About the Opportunity
We are excited to present an excellent opportunity for a Field Service Engineer II with a leading medical device organization. This is a hands-on position supporting advanced dialysis equipment, where you will play an important role in keeping critical medical technology operating safely and reliably.
What You’ll Do
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain medical/dialysis equipment at customer locations and patient homes.
- Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, system testing, and equipment upgrades.
- Diagnose electrical, electronic, mechanical, and fluidics-related issues.
- Read and interpret technical schematics, diagrams, and flowcharts.
- Provide first- and second-level technical support to customers and clinical staff.
- Identify root causes and implement effective repairs.
- Document service activities, repairs, parts usage, and equipment failures accurately.
- Maintain tools, spare parts, inventory, and company equipment.
- Provide technical feedback to Engineering and R&D to support product improvements.
- Support product demonstrations, training, seminars, and other customer-facing activities when needed.
- Collaborate with internal teams including Engineering, Production, Sales, and Marketing.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of field service or relevant industry experience.
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting and repair experience.
- Background in electrical, electronics, mechanical, electromechanical, or fluidics systems.
- Experience with equipment installation and preventive maintenance.
- Ability to read technical/electrical/mechanical schematics.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the U.S., including overnight stays.
- Ability to routinely lift and move equipment up to 75 lbs.
- Associate degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Fluidics is preferred; military technical experience may be considered.
