Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Field Supervisor with a strong background in construction management, building systems, and facility assessments. The ideal candidate will support field surveys, evaluate building conditions, collect system data, and collaborate with project teams across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and collect building component and system data from project sites.
- Use tablets, laptops, smartphones, and other digital tools to document field information.
- Assess building systems and identify components hidden behind walls, ceilings, and floors.
- Evaluate overall building conditions and estimate remaining service life of building components.
- Collaborate with construction teams and trade surveyors to gather measurements, quantities, and project information.
- Support facility condition assessments and field surveys across multiple sites.
- Assist with supervision and coordination of field staff and survey participants as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of field observations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Candidates without a degree must have at least 10 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum 6 years of professional experience working with on-site construction management teams.
- Experience working within educational or campus environments preferred.
- Strong understanding of building systems, construction methods, and facility conditions.
- Ability to work collaboratively with project teams, administrators, and field personnel.
- Proficiency with digital reporting tools and basic computer applications.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience conducting facility condition assessments or building surveys.
- Knowledge of building lifecycle and remaining service life evaluations.
- Experience managing or supervising field personnel and survey teams.
