About the Job:

We are seeking an experienced Fire Protection Project Manager / Estimator to oversee fire protection system projects from estimating through project completion. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in construction estimating, project management, budgeting, and fire sprinkler or fire suppression systems. This role requires the ability to develop accurate cost estimates, manage project schedules and budgets, coordinate with field teams, and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Review construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine project scope and material requirements.

Prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors using estimating software.

Develop project proposals, budgets, and bid packages.

Manage projects from award through closeout, ensuring schedule, quality, and budget objectives are achieved.

Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Monitor project costs, track change orders, and maintain budget control.

Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate pricing and contracts.

Conduct site visits to monitor installation progress, resolve field issues, and ensure compliance with project specifications.

Utilize Bluebeam or similar software for drawing review, markups, and project documentation.

Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, local codes, safety regulations, and company quality standards.

Maintain project documentation, schedules, reports, and client communication.

Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and project milestones.

Required Qualifications:

Experience managing fire protection, fire sprinkler, or fire suppression system projects.

Strong background in construction estimating and project management.

Proficiency with estimating software such as HeavyBid, Xactimate, or similar platforms.

Experience using Bluebeam for drawing review and document management.

Ability to interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.

Knowledge of budgeting, cost control, bidding, contracts, and change order management.

Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.

Experience coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.

Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Construction site experience and understanding of construction management principles.

Familiarity with NFPA codes, fire protection systems, and industry standards is preferred.
