About the Job:

We are seeking an experienced Heating, Air Conditioning & Generator Operations Manager to lead daily field operations for HVAC, plumbing, and generator service teams. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing service scheduling, dispatching technicians, managing field operations, ensuring safety and quality compliance, optimizing workflows, and delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate has a strong background in HVAC operations, team leadership, customer relations, and service management within a residential and commercial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage daily operations for HVAC, plumbing, and generator installation, maintenance, and repair services.

Schedule and dispatch technicians efficiently to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction.

Monitor job progress, ensure timely completion of service calls, and resolve operational issues.

Supervise field technicians and office support staff while providing leadership, coaching, and performance management.

Maintain high standards of customer service by addressing concerns, resolving escalations, and ensuring quality workmanship.

Coordinate preventive maintenance programs and support emergency service operations.

Manage inventory, equipment availability, and material requirements for field operations.

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.

Track operational KPIs, technician productivity, response times, and customer satisfaction metrics.

Identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement process enhancements.

Support sales efforts by recommending service agreements, equipment upgrades, and maintenance solutions.

Collaborate with leadership to improve operational efficiency and business performance.

Required Qualifications:

Proven experience managing HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, or related service operations.

Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, generators, plumbing systems, and repair coordination.

Experience supervising technicians, dispatch teams, and field service operations.

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in fast-paced environments.

Experience with scheduling, resource planning, and workflow optimization.

Customer-focused mindset with outstanding conflict resolution and relationship management skills.

Familiarity with HVAC safety standards, OSHA regulations, and industry compliance requirements.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Technical training or certification in HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, or Mechanical Systems.

Experience with generator service operations.

Knowledge of field service management software and dispatch systems.

Experience supporting sales, estimating, or preventive maintenance programs.
