Heavy Equipment Service Technician

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Service Technician to provide technical service, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy and industrial equipment.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience working on heavy equipment.
• Experience with Hitachi, Volvo, or Takeuchi equipment preferred.
• Experience with cranes or road equipment is highly preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Must be computer literate.
• Must own and maintain a complete set of tools.
• Ability to read and understand service orders, repair procedures, and technical documentation.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy and industrial equipment.
• Read service orders and plan work procedures to resolve equipment malfunctions.
• Perform inspections using established checklists and examine critical components and safety devices.
• Inspect protective guards, bolts, and other components and make necessary adjustments.
• Test-operate equipment to ensure proper and safe operation after repairs.
• Complete assigned service and repair work according to published procedures and safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate labor, time, and repair order documentation.
• Follow manufacturer policies, procedures, torque specifications, and technical bulletins.
• Attend technical and factory training as assigned.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Return customer equipment in clean condition after service.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and dealership personnel.
• Meet production and performance objectives established by management.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Service Supervisor or management.
