About the Job:
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, boiler, and chiller systems. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, experience working with commercial HVAC equipment, and possess an EPA Universal Certification.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, service, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
Mount and install compressors, condensers, evaporators, air handlers, and ventilation equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering specifications.
Fabricate, assemble, and install ductwork and HVAC system components.
Cut, bend, thread, and connect copper tubing and piping using proper HVAC tools.
Braze, solder, and weld refrigerant piping while ensuring leak-free connections.
Install expansion valves, discharge valves, thermostats, switches, breakers, and electrical controls.
Connect motors, compressors, fans, and control panels to electrical power sources.
Charge HVAC systems with refrigerant and verify proper operating pressures.
Perform leak detection, pressure testing, and system diagnostics.
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration system failures.
Replace defective components including thermostats, wiring, switches, fuses, and control devices.
Install and replace air and water filtration systems.
Monitor and operate boiler and chiller plants using Building Automation Systems (BAS).
Maintain proper equipment temperatures, operating pressures, and runtime efficiency.
Service commercial air conditioners, chillers, cooling towers, and related HVAC equipment.
Complete preventive maintenance, inspections, and repair documentation.
Follow all safety procedures, EPA regulations, and industry standards.
Required Qualifications:
EPA Universal Certification (Required).
Experience installing, servicing, and repairing commercial HVAC systems.
Knowledge of refrigeration principles, HVAC controls, electrical systems, and piping.
Experience with chillers, boilers, cooling towers, and air handling equipment.
Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Skilled in brazing, soldering, welding, pipefitting, and refrigerant handling.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
Familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS) is preferred.
Ability to safely use HVAC tools, testing equipment, and power tools.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
