Job Title: HVAC Technician

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Job Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to support commercial and multifamily new construction projects throughout Pennsylvania and the Mid-Atlantic region.

The ideal candidate will have experience installing, troubleshooting, and servicing HVAC systems in commercial construction environments. The technician should be comfortable working on active construction sites, reading mechanical drawings, coordinating with other trades, and completing quality work safely and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping, and mechanical systems on commercial and multifamily construction projects.
  • Perform equipment startup, testing, balancing assistance, and commissioning support.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and project specifications.
  • Install and work with:
  • Rooftop Units (RTUs)
  • Split Systems
  • VRF/VRV Systems
  • Exhaust Fans
  • VAV Boxes
  • Air Handlers
  • Related mechanical equipment
  • Perform HVAC troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
  • Coordinate daily work with project managers, superintendents, plumbers, electricians, and other trades.
  • Ensure installations comply with building codes, manufacturer specifications, and project requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of completed work, inspections, and service activities.
  • Follow OSHA and company safety requirements.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in a clean and professional condition.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of HVAC installation or service experience in commercial or multifamily construction.
  • Experience with new construction HVAC installations.
  • Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience with ductwork, refrigerant piping, controls, and mechanical equipment installation.
  • Experience working alongside plumbers, electricians, and general contractors.
  • OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 preferred.
  • EPA 608 Universal Certification preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on ladders, rooftops, and active construction sites.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Union or commercial mechanical contractor experience.
  • Experience with VRF/VRV systems, chilled water, hydronic systems, boilers, and rooftop units.
  • Knowledge of construction sequencing and trade coordination.
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction software.
