About the job:

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and analytical Inside Construction Estimator to join our growing team. This is a 100% office-based position focused on transforming field-collected project information into accurate scopes of work, detailed project plans, and construction estimates.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in residential construction estimating, project scoping, or drafting and enjoys working in a structured office environment where accuracy, organization, and technical expertise are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze Project Information:

Review project photos, property details, measurements, and field notes.

Evaluate project requirements and identify any missing information needed for accurate estimating.

Develop Project Layouts & Sketches:

Create clear and accurate project sketches and layouts using provided dimensions and project documentation.

Translate field information into organized construction plans.

Build Detailed Scopes of Work:

Develop comprehensive, line-item scopes of work (SOW) for construction projects.

Ensure project documentation is complete and ready for production teams.

Prepare Accurate Cost Estimates:

Utilize estimating software and CRM systems to calculate labor, materials, permits, and project costs.

Maintain accuracy and consistency throughout the estimating process.

Quality Control & Risk Assessment:

Identify potential project challenges, scope gaps, and construction risks.

Verify project details prior to contract finalization to minimize errors and change orders.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience in residential construction estimating, project scoping, drafting, or a related field.

Strong understanding of residential construction methods, materials, and project workflows.

Ability to interpret project photos, measurements, and property information and convert them into accurate scopes and layouts.

Experience with construction estimating software, CRM platforms, and digital drafting/sketching tools.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

High attention to detail with a commitment to producing accurate, error-free estimates.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience preparing detailed scopes of work for residential renovation or remodeling projects.

Knowledge of permitting processes and construction documentation.

Proficiency with construction management and estimating software platforms.
