About the role

Interior Design Project Manager – Multifamily & Hospitality

Location: Baltimore, MD

Experience: 10+ years

Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days/week in office

Licensure: Architecture license or NCIDQ required

This role is responsible for project management, client relationships, team leadership, design coordination, scheduling, budgets, and construction documentation. The ideal candidate combines strong interior design experience with proven project leadership and client-facing skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead interior design projects from concept through construction administration.
  • Manage project teams, consultants, clients, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Lead and mentor interior designers and project staff.
  • Develop design concepts and oversee design development and construction documents.
  • Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and clients.
  • Monitor project budgets, fees, staffing, schedules, and financial performance.
  • Participate in construction administration, including RFIs, shop drawings, material submittals, and site visits.
  • Support proposals, presentations, interviews, and business development.
  • Maintain existing client relationships and help develop new business.
  • Review construction budgets and participate in value engineering.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of interior design/architecture experience.
  • Proven Project Manager experience.
  • Experience with multifamily and/or hospitality interiors.
  • Experience managing multiple project teams.
  • Strong client-facing and consultant coordination experience.
  • Experience managing scope, fees, budgets, and schedules.
  • Experience mentoring and leading designers.
  • Knowledge of construction documentation, building codes, and accessibility standards.
  • Revit proficiency required.
  • Experience with SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam preferred.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
  • Architecture license or NCIDQ certification required.
  • Must be able to commute to Baltimore, MD.
