About the Job:
A growing law firm is seeking a motivated Junior Associate Attorney to join its collaborative and supportive legal team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for both newly licensed and early-career attorneys to gain hands-on experience in civil litigation while working in a flexible hybrid environment.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, responsive, and capable of managing assignments independently while maintaining strong communication with clients and colleagues. This role provides substantial exposure to litigation matters, legal research, drafting, client interaction, and courtroom advocacy.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct legal research and analysis.
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, correspondence, and other legal documents.
Assist with all phases of civil litigation.
Communicate regularly with clients and provide case updates.
Review contracts and legal documents.
Prepare for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
Appear in court and advocate on behalf of clients when appropriate.
Manage case files and ensure deadlines are met.
Collaborate with attorneys and support staff on case strategy and execution.
Maintain accurate documentation and case records.
Required Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Active California Bar membership in good standing.
Ability to commute to Petaluma, CA as required.
Strong legal research and writing skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong interpersonal and client communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience drafting legal briefs and motions.
Courtroom advocacy experience.
Client service or customer service experience.
