About the Opportunity

A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Employment & Higher Education Attorney to join its growing Labor, Employment & Higher Education practice in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This is a Counsel-level opportunity for an attorney with substantial experience in employment law counseling and litigation.

Key Responsibilities

Advise business clients on employment law and higher education matters.
Represent clients in employment-related litigation.
Conduct legal research and draft briefs, pleadings, and motions.
Take and defend depositions and handle court hearings.
Draft employment policies and provide guidance on workplace compliance.
Investigate workplace complaints and alleged misconduct, including sexual harassment.
Provide strategic legal advice and practical solutions to clients.

Requirements

J.D. from an accredited law school.
Active Minnesota Bar license in good standing.
8–10 years of employment law experience.
Strong background in both employment law counseling and litigation.
Experience with legal research, brief writing, pleadings, depositions, and court hearings.
Experience drafting employment policies and conducting workplace investigations.
Excellent analytical, writing, and oral communication skills.
Strong client service, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
Confidence and willingness to appear in court.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
