Lead Estimator

We are currently recruiting for a Lead Estimator position based in Boca Raton, Florida, with a hybrid work setup. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to play a key role in preconstruction and project planning within a growing construction environment.

The Estimator will be responsible for preparing both conceptual budget estimates and hard bids, developing bid strategies, and managing the full estimation lifecycle. This role also involves supporting project teams during preconstruction and construction phases.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing accurate estimates, proposals, cost details, and project schedules
• Reviewing project blueprints, specifications, contracts, and scope documents
• Developing and executing bid strategies and general trade estimates
• Evaluating subcontractor bids for completeness and accuracy
• Coordinating bid solicitation and ensuring adequate subcontractor coverage
• Conducting site visits and preparing conceptual budgets based on findings
• Participating in pre-bid and project turnover meetings
• Managing estimation processes from start to finish
• Collaborating with internal teams such as Accounting, Operations, and HR
• Utilizing bidding and estimating software with efficiency and accuracy

The ideal candidate will have:

• 2–5 years of experience in construction estimating
• Experience working on commercial projects such as restaurants, office spaces, retail, multi-unit housing, and ground-up construction
• Strong problem-solving, cost analysis, and time management skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience with software such as Timberline and Planswift is strongly preferred
• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or relevant experience
