About the Job:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support attorneys and paralegals in a fast-paced litigation practice. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, managing multiple priorities, and providing exceptional administrative and litigation support. The Legal Assistant will serve as an important point of contact for clients while helping ensure the efficient handling of legal matters from intake through case resolution.


Key Responsibilities:

Provide administrative and litigation support to attorneys and paralegals.

Prepare, draft, proofread, and format legal correspondence, pleadings, discovery documents, and other case-related materials.

Coordinate depositions, mediations, court appearances, client meetings, and other case events.

Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files.

Request, review, and track medical records, billing records, and other supporting documentation.

Prepare case summaries, timelines, and other litigation support documents.

Communicate professionally with clients, courts, medical providers, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel.

Maintain accurate case records and monitor deadlines using legal case management systems.

Perform general administrative duties, including scheduling, document management, and file organization.


Required Qualifications:

Prior experience in an administrative support role is required; legal office experience is preferred.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with excellent attention to detail.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Professional, client-focused demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Experience with legal case management software such as Clio, Litify, Needles, or similar platforms is a plus.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.


Preferred Skills:

Experience supporting litigation matters.

Knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and document preparation.

Strong time management and deadline management skills.

Ability to prioritize competing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
