We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort.
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, ensuring timely communication of any concerns.
- Support medication administration under supervision, adhering strictly to prescribed protocols and safety standards.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner to ensure accurate patient records.
- Implement infection control procedures using aseptic techniques to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
- Operate patient lifting equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely to assist with transfers and mobility needs.
- Provide specialized care for patients with conditions such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care strategies.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams in various settings including ICU, emergency medicine, pediatrics, behavioral health, and post-acute care environments.
- Support patients in outpatient clinics or home & community care settings by delivering compassionate caregiving tailored to individual needs.
- Uphold HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of all patient information at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience working as a Licensed Nursing Assistant in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care agencies.
- Critical care experience in settings like ICU or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with medical office procedures and medical terminology enhances patient service delivery.
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, or similar platforms for accurate documentation.
- Knowledge of geriatrics, dementia care (including Alzheimer’s), hospice support, and behavioral health practices is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges across various age groups including pediatrics and geriatrics.
- Strong understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques necessary for acute care environments like surgical units or PICU.
