Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. Additional Information:
- Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 Per Hour(The pay varies based on the shift)
- Shifts: Flexible
- Start Date: ASAP
- Overtime: Available
- Pay Period: Weekly Pay (Every Friday)
Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health history documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Administer medications and injections accurately following established protocols, including IV infusion and injection administration.
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as specimen collection, processing, and basic medical imaging procedures.
- Provide wound care, catheterization, tube feeding, and ventilator management while maintaining aseptic techniques.
- Support patients with activities of daily living and coordinate care plans in collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
- Monitor patients’ conditions closely, including acute pain management and triage in emergency or urgent care settings.
- Document all patient interactions thoroughly in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
- Work with individuals with disabilities or cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer’s disease or dementia to ensure compassionate care tailored to their needs.
Skills
- Proficiency in EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for accurate documentation and patient record management.
- Critical care experience in settings like ICU or Level I Trauma Centers is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding for accurate medical record coding and billing processes.
- Experience working in diverse environments including long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, hospitals, or home & community care settings.
- Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology to perform comprehensive patient assessments.
- Ability to manage complex cases involving infectious disease care, hospice services, or post-acute care transitions.
- Skilled in performing procedures such as phlebotomy, suturing, spinal taps, or catheterization with precision and aseptic technique.
- Excellent communication skills to educate patients on health coaching topics like nutrition or family planning while ensuring clarity and empathy.
