Licensed Surveyor / Professional Surveyor (PLS)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Licensed Surveyor / Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to lead and perform land surveying activities including boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and construction surveys. The role involves managing field crews, ensuring survey accuracy, reviewing survey documents, and coordinating with engineers, contractors, and clients while maintaining compliance with state regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform and oversee boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and construction surveys
• Review and certify survey maps, plats, and legal descriptions
• Supervise field crews and ensure data accuracy
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, contractors, and clients
• Manage survey calculations, field data, and mapping using software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson, or MicroStation
• Ensure compliance with surveying standards and regulations
• Review deeds, easements, plats, and title documents

Qualifications:

• Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required
• Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of land surveying experience
• Experience with survey software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson, or MicroStation)
• Knowledge of ALTA/NSPS standards and boundary law

Preferred:

• Experience with GPS, total stations, and data collectors
• Construction staking and project coordination experience.
