A mid-sized, growth-oriented law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate with 1–4 years of experience to join its Virginia office. This role offers meaningful courtroom exposure, direct mentorship from senior attorneys, and the opportunity to develop strong litigation skills in a collaborative and supportive environment.

The firm is recognized for its sophisticated work in the health law and litigation space and provides attorneys with hands-on responsibility early in their careers.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle a variety of litigation matters from inception through resolution

Conduct legal research, draft motions, briefs, and other court filings

Participate in depositions, hearings, and trials under partner supervision

Manage discovery, including document review and drafting discovery requests/responses

Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel as needed

Support senior attorneys in case strategy and preparation

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Active membership in the Virginia State Bar (or eligibility for prompt admission)

1–4 years of litigation experience preferred

Strong legal writing, analytical, and research skills

Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities

Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
